of Redeemer Lutheran Church
We are a Christ-centered Lutheran congregation rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and committed to sharing God's grace, hope, and love with all people. Guided by Holy Scripture and nourished through Word and Sacrament, we seek to follow Christ in worship, faith, service, and daily life.
As part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC), we affirm the biblical teaching that salvation is God's gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

We gather to hear God's Word, celebrate Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, pray together, care for one another, and serve our neighbours with compassion.
Our History
Nearly a Century of Grace
Redeemer Lutheran Church was founded in 1930 by a small group of faithful Lutherans who settled in North Bay, Ontario. From humble beginnings, the congregation grew steadily — our current home at 725 Ferguson Street was built in 1937 and expanded in 1992 to accommodate a growing community.
For nearly a century, Redeemer has been a place of welcome — welcoming newcomers to North Bay, welcoming neighbours in need, and welcoming all who seek the grace and hope found in Jesus Christ.
We are a congregation of the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) , holding fast to the Lutheran tradition of Scripture, grace, and the sacraments.
What We Believe
The Five Solas of the Reformation
Our faith is shaped by the historic Lutheran teaching known as the Five Solas of the Reformation, each rooted in Scripture.
Sola Scriptura
Scripture Alone
We believe the Bible is the inspired and trustworthy Word of God, guiding our faith and life.

Sola Gratia
Grace Alone
We believe salvation is God's free gift, not something we can earn.

Sola Fide
Faith Alone
We believe we are justified before God through faith in Jesus Christ.
“For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.”

Christ Alone
We believe Jesus Christ alone is the Savior and mediator between God and humanity.

We believe all worship, service, and life should give glory to God.

Pastor, Redeemer Lutheran Church
Pastor Enzo Pellini leads our congregation with a deep commitment to Word and Sacrament ministry, pastoral care, and the call to serve our community in North Bay.
He welcomes conversations with anyone — whether you have questions about faith, are looking for a church home, or are facing a difficult season of life. His door is open.

How We Serve
Faith in Action
Our faith doesn't stop at the church doors. We are active partners with the community we call home.
Operation Warmth
We provide winter clothing, including coats and other essential winter items, to those in need, person to person, during the colder months. It is one of our longest-running outreach ministries.
Food for Friends
Every Tuesday morning, our Food for Friends initiative provides bags of groceries to those in need. Our congregation believes that caring for the hungry is an expression of our love for God.
Sunday Mornings
You Are Welcome Here
Sunday worship begins at 10:30 AM and typically runs about an hour. You will find liturgy, hymns, a sermon, and the Lord's Supper, a service that is both traditional and warm.
Whether it's your first time in a church or you've been Lutheran your whole life, there is a place for you at Redeemer. Come as you are.
